Progressives, all 10% of you in the general population, you may want to consider something. You can insult us, you can tax us for your projects, you can appoint your friends to positions, you can deny us jobs, you can lecture us, you can judge us, and to a large extent you successfully control us. But when it comes to our children, you’ve crossed a line.
At today’s Opt-Out rally in front of the Board of Education there was an even larger crowd than what we saw on June 6. The participants were determined and motivated by anyone’s top concern: children. The were standing up for transparency and minimal respect. They expressed tolerance for everybody and anybody, chanting at one point “we love everybody.” They were people of many faiths, colors, ethnicities, ages, and political leanings. The perfect picture of diversity.
The pro-control crowd seemed to have collapsed since June 6. A pathetic showing of 15 middle-aged white people or so. No diversity there.
The pro-choice crowd still doesn’t have its victory, and the pro-control crowd still has the upper hand with their rules, laws, secret meetings, and occupation mentality. But after two public demonstrations, we see that the trend is clear.
Progressives, you should leave the poker table with the winnings you’ve already amassed. If you push too hard on our children, the pro-choice crowd may dismantle your entire house of cards.
