Natali announces fix for snow removal

Keywords:

After receiving around 8 inches of snow this week, receiving multiple complaints about slow snow removal, and being forced to close school for 3 days, Natali-Gonzalez has a decided to take a stand.  One Wednesday, she gathered with representatives from CASA to announce that she will be introducing legislation that cancels all current snow removal contracts and transfers them to a new nonprofit chaired by CASA, named “Equity Snow Removal”.  In her public statements she exclaimed, “We are a county that prides itself on diversity and inclusion and the fact that our snow removal contracts are not representative of our immigrant community is a real problem”.  She continued, “I am not sure if you are aware, but there is not a single undocumented worker employed by the various contractors currently charged with snow removal.  This must change”.   CASA also spoke, reassuring the public that despite the fact that the individuals they represent do not come from wintery climates, or know the first thing about snow, they are committed to establishing a training program that will be run by another non-profit chaired by CASA.  The president of CASA said “We are thankful that Natali has taken this important first step, and we look forward to not only clearing the sidewalks, but also packing them full of door-knockers during the next election.

*This is clearly satire.  Enjoy.
