The September member meeting of the Montgomery County Educator’s Association (MCEA) began with a bizarre, fully ideological three song sing-along, sources present tell CleanSlateMoCo.com.

Introduced to MCEA members as a way to bring “energy” to the first meeting of the MCPS school year, the “DC Labor Chorus” proceeded to serenade union members with songs about “Black Lives Matter” and “solidarity”. There were choruses about LGBTQIA rights and all manner of left-wingish social commentary.  At one point, MCEA members were encouraged to ‘sing along’ with the agenda-driven messaging.

No sourcing on whether Marc Elrich was present or directing the choir.

The DC Labor Chorus, per its Facebook page and posts, claims “We sing for solidarity. We sing for peace. We sing for jobs. We sing for justice. We sing for joy.”

It appears the DC Labor Chorus is a frequent guest / ensemble at the “New Deal Cafe” in Greenbelt, MD.
