Here is a brief run-down of the “uplifting” and “unifying” rhetoric MoCo’s Delegates to the prior week’s DNC deployed during their stint in Chicago, Illinois.
Remember… “Hate has no home in MoCo”. We even have a county committee against “hate/violence” that is sometimes transparent with the public.
State delegate Jheanelle Wilkins kicks us off here, with her brief MSNBC spotlight during the convention / coronation, where she was able to talk about the “power of joy”:
So, no hate in MoCo or at the DNC, just joy. But apparently, 100% disgust does live on in our fair county? Or maybe in the hearts of those “elected’ to represent us in Annapolis? (Just kidding – Teresa Woorman wasn’t actually elected by anyone).
Here we see the newly appointed / coronated state delegate from MoCo level the “100% disgusted” charge against her political opponent…
Interesting. Also – *Delegate Teresa Woorman wants the nation to know it is “funny enough, she recently got appointed to a legislative seat.” No democracy, no primary for the hearts and minds of the public in MoCo… so funny!
Moving on, here is a DNC take from state delegate Lily Qi, generally a cautious, seasoned local politician:
Ah yes. “Elect the only ticket that will bring the country together.” How will this ticket bring the country together? The delegate doesn’t tell us. All we know from this statement is that if you’re against Harris-Walz, you’re potentially against “bringing the country together.” But not the other way around. See how it works? Just join the team and “unite”… or be a free thinker and “divide”.
And finally, to tie it all up, our councilmember Will Jawando — with a special guest! No, not Beyonce… not Tay Tay… not Oprah…
Former CM Hans Riemer and his lovely wife! The man who likely brought us four years of County Exec Marc Elrich. Team Vaccination Mandate was reunited in Chicago!
Joy! Unity! For all of MoCo!
