CleanSlate Onion Edition: County Exec Elrich Invites All to “MoCo Riderzz Official Street Car Takeover 2024” for “Equity in Car Burnouts”

Keywords:

Fresh off the New Hampshire Avenue, Takoma Park street takeover on February 10th, Montgomery County Exec Marc Elrich has invited the county to celebrate the next “street takeover” with his “MoCo Riderzz”.

Details were still forthcoming about where and when the street takeover would occur, but the County Exec promised he’d “put that notice out on IG soon.”  He then noted his commitment to “equity in car burnouts and street donuts”.

“It is important we do this, to show the people we care about equity, and about electric vehicles, which are frickin’ tough and burn rubber like nobody’s business,” said the career politician.  “My EV is a champion at driftin’ and siftin’, low key no cap this is a beast ride.  It is tough.”

Asked whether he cared that public roads would be potentially shut down for the street takeover and that pedestrians and other drivers could be negatively impacted, CE Elrich was quick to change topics – and blame “MAGA”.

“Look, we can’t arrest or fine our way to prosperity and equality, ok?  That’s a MAGA talking point.  We need as many youths as possible to feel welcome in MoCo and we want to show Ocean City, MD that we have awesome street takeovers right here, in MoCo.  There is no need to go to beach week on the eastern shore for street racing and wild showmanship.  You can do that right here in Takoma Park or Rockville.  Help us build a thriving, welcoming economy for all.  Immigration status also will not be questioned.  In fact, I’d like to see less driver’s license requirements in general.  They are discriminatory.”

Mr. Elrich was referring to wild scenes at an unsanctioned street racing meet-up in Ocean City in the summer of 2021.

Asked about a bill in the Maryland General Assembly to increase penalties for those engaged in street racing, Mr. Elrich was non-committal.

YES THIS POST IS PARODY — Stay tuned for the next CleanSlateMoCo Onion edition storyline.
